A meeting was held in the PHRC to assess field work within the survey on "Investigation of risk factors of noncommunicable diseases"
In November-December of this year, the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC) conducted a survey to study the prevalence among the population of Azerbaijan of the risk factors for noncommunicable diseases (NCD). The survey was implemented in accordance with item 9.4.2 of the Action Plan of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the implementation of the "Strategy to Control Noncommunicable Diseases in Azerbaijan for 2015-2020".
At the end of the survey on December 26, a meeting was held in the PHRC to discuss the quality of the fieldwork. At the event, which was attended by interviewers and employees of the PHRC, the problems and challenges faced by field workers during this study were discussed.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Head of the Monitoring and Analysis Department Khatira Huseynova noted that this survey was developed on the basis of the STEP methodology recommended by WHO. She also noted that the survey data are being analyzed and the report is being prepared.
