A Final Report of the Healthy Nutrition Survey was presented at the round table event (PHOTO)
In November 2016, the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health together with relevant bodies of the Ministry of Education conducted a survey among school children and their parents, as well as teachers and employees of school cafeterias in 25 selected secondary schools throughout the Republic. The purpose of the survey was to map the current situation on healthy nutrition behaviour patterns among children.
On 27 December 2016, a round table was held at the PHRC where a final report of the survey, including survey based recommendations on healthy nutrition of children in Azerbaijan was presented. The survey assessed respondents' knowledge on healthy nutrition and identifying food products that school children buy the most at school cafeterias in Baku-Absheron, Ganja, Lankaran, Sabirabad, Goychay, Gakh, Guba, Gazakh regions.
Representatives of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, the Republican Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society, Reliable Future Youth Organization, Parent-Teacher Association, Department of nutrition and communal Hyglene of Azerbaijan Medical University, and PHRC participated at that event.
