The event on promotion of healthy nutrition was held for school teachers (PHOTO)
On December 20-21, 2016, a seminar for teachers of 34 secondary schools participating in the "Healthy Education - Healthy Nation" pilot project of the Ministry of Education was held at the Public Health and Reform Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC). The purpose of the seminar was to introduce issues related to the promotion of healthy eating habits among schoolchildren.
The seminar presented the pilot "Guidelines for the effective nutrition of school-age children and the proper organization of the diet in children's educational institutions", compiled by the specialists of the PHRC and the Azerbaijan Medical University and intended for teachers.
Sabina Babazade, head of the Department for Coordination of Healthcare Projects, Shahla Ismailova, head of the Department of Health Quality Standards, Nabil Seyidov, deputy head of the Health Policy and Reform Department of the Center, Shahla Balaeva, an associate professor of the Azerbaijan Medical University and the expert of the "Healthy Education - Healthy Nation" project, delivered detailed information about the importance of organizing healthy school meals and the importance of trusting relationships between teachers and parents to effectively deliver information on healthy eating habits for children.
At the end of the seminar, the speakers answered questions of the meeting participants. Photos were taken for memory.
