The PHRC in cooperation with the Knowledge Foundation organized an educational event to promote healthy lifestyles among schoolchildren

On December 16, 2016, an educational event on the topic of "Promoting a healthy lifestyle" was held at the E-Government Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Communication and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the participation of high school students and school nurses. During the event, a teleconference with a number of schools of Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran, Mingachevir, Barda and Gabala took place online.

A moderator of the event, held by the Public Health and Reform Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC) in collaboration with the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was Dr Nabil Seyidov, an employee of the PHRC. In his presentation on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, Dr Seyidov informed schoolchildren about bad habits that negatively affect human health, and ways to deal with them. Stressing the importance of educating the population in matters of health protection, the speaker at the end of the event answered questions of interest to the meeting participants.

In the end, the thematic educational materials developed in the EPC were distributed.
