"The Autumn School on health information and health policy" started in Bucharest

On October 24-29, 2016 in Bucharest, Romania, "The Autumn School on the formation of health information and health policy " which was organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe. At this annual training, issues of public health monitoring and analysis were discussed during the five days of the training course. The main objective of the course is to improve the capacity of training staff at health institutions of European countries within the sphere of the health information technology in health care, using  this information in solving the problems of health.

The course designed for professionals involved in research according to the analysis of data on health care, health policy formulation and implementation in the field, working on statistical data in the field of public health.  At the Autumn School,  Azerbaijan was represented  by the First Deputy Director of Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC) Rauf Mammadov and the Head of the Monitoring and Analysis Department Kahraman Haqverdiyev.

The training course was consisted of lectures, individual and group lessons. At the end of the training, training participants shared ideas and suggestions on how to improve health information systems at their countries.
