PHRC representatives attended an NCD prevention and control training in Moscow

The second training course on Prevention and Control of NCDs in Central Asia and Eastern Europe countries took place in Moscow, Russian Federation (April 18-23, 2016). The training was organized by WHO Regional Office, WHO Collaborating Centre on Training and Education of Health Policy Makers in Prevention and Control of NCD and with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Held in the venues of Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University the training was one of the preliminary events related to the adoption of the new  “Action Plan for the implementation of the Europian Strategy for the prevention and Control of Noncommunicable dseases for years 2016-2025". Designed to support national level health policy-makers in prevention and control of NCD-s, the event was attended by PHRC senior management staff members: Dr. Rauf Mammadov, PHRC Deputy Director and Dr. Tohfa Jamalova, PHRC Head of the Health Policy and Reforms Department.
