Azerbaijani specialists improved their skills and knowledge on cancer registry

Beginning  November, 2014 the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) and the National Oncology Center of the Ministry of Health have started  cooperating  on establishing  the National Cancer Register in Azerbaijan. As a result of this copperation, the National Councer Register was set up at the  National Oncology Center in 2015. Last month, in order to improve knowledge and skills of staff members responsible for managing a cancer registry, a training was organized by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the Cancer Agency of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Izmir, Turke, April 18-22.  The event was attended by Dr. G.Hagverdiev, the Head of the PHRC Monitoring Department and  by the staff members of the National Oncology Center.
