Mother and child survival training activities underway (PHOTO)
On April 19 in Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU) Surgical Training Clinic a "Medical emergencies in pediatrics and Pediatric advanced life support (PALS)” trainings started. The goal of the training course is to aid the pediatric healthcare providers in developing necessary knowledge and skills in efficiently and effectively managing critically ill infants and children under five during transportation and stabilization phases of a pediatric emergency.
The trainings, where doctors and nurses are taking part, carried out by "Doctors Worldwide" Humanitarian Organization (Turkey), Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) and Medical University academics are expected to end on April, 22. Specialists from the PHCR Şəhla İsmayılova və Nahidə Mahmudova took active part as facilitators of trainings.
The trainings were organized in the framework of “Welcome Baby” Project and in accordance with the “State Program to improve maternal and child health for 2014-2020" and the corresponding MOH Action Plan.
