Baku hosts international conference titled "Innovative technologies in promoting healthy lifestyle in CIS member states" (PHOTO)
The Conference is intended to share best practices on the latest methods and approaches in promoting healthy lifestyle among young people.
The international conference titled "Innovative technologies of healthy lifestyle promotion in the Member States of the CIS" was held in Baku, Monolit Plaza, 12-14th May, 2015. The representatives of Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC) participated as experts in the conference, initiated and jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and "ADDIM" Youth Organization.
While giving a welcoming speech, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev noted that the conference aimed at promoting social and innovative technologies in youth health and strengthen international communication. Chairperson of the "ADDIM" Youth Organization Huseyn Javadzadeh spoke about the role of NGOs in promoting healthy lifestyle among young people.
The conference was facilitated by Sabina Babazade, Aynur Rashidova and Tofig Musayev, the heads of PHRC departments. The delegates from Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan gave presentations (on issue-related topics) during the conference.
Aynur Rashidova, Head of the Health Communication and Public Relations Department, PHRC, delivered a presentation on "Healthy lifestyle from the perspective of social and communication innovations".
Head of the Project Coordination Department, PHRC, Sabina Babazadeh introduced a topic on services and innovative approaches in promoting physical activity among youth. Head of the Population Health Department Tofig Musayev gave a presentation on the subject "Prevention of harmful habits: smoking, alcohol and drug abuse". The presentations also covered numerous awareness-raising campaigns and events carried out by PHRC to promote healthy lifestyle among young people.
During the conference presentations on various topics were delivered: "Culture of healthy and safe lifestyle of young people", (Culture of healthy living and safety of youth) "Urgent issues of physical culture and sport", "Healthy lifestyle and computer technologies, mobile software", "Youth reproductive health", "Mental health, psychological state of youth".
Also, feedback on the presentations was given, suggestions and recommendations were heard.
