Trainings on Reproductive Health education and promotion held in regions

In accordance with the paragraph 6.6.3 of the Action Plan of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan on implementation of the "Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015" State Program, training courses on reproductive health education and awareness were conducted in Zagatala, Gakh and Gabala regions, 12-14th May, 2015. The trainings were organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC) and "Reliable Future" Youth Organization.

The training pursued the goal to help adolescents and young people avoid harmful habits, raise awareness about reproductive health and healthy lifestyle. During the training courses necessary information on STD (sexually transmitted diseases) prevention, early and unwanted pregnancy, and family planning was provided.

The trainees – newly qualified biology and life skills teachers are expected to organize demonstration lessons on reproductive health for students at senior secondary schools in the Zagatala, Gakh and Gabala regions.
