Event on “Let's fight against drug abuse and other bad habits!” organized in Technical Humanitarian Lyceum

Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Nasimi District Police Department have jointly organized an educational event at the Technical Humanitarian Lyceum on October 9, 2018.

Methodist Physician of PHRC Latafat Dadashova made a presentation on "Let's fight against drug abuse and other bad habits!". She discussed bad habits and their negative impact on human's' health and warned about serious consequences (physical vs. mental addictions) might be arisen in the future.

Head of Health Policy and Reforms Department of PHRC Shahla Mirzazada told about projects and programs on drug use prevention and made relevant recommendations to youth. “The fight against this humanitarian problem is a very serious responsibility and takes time. That’s why, drug use prevention is one of the main issues of the state policy in Azerbaijan,” she said.

At the end of the event, educational materials prepared by PHRC were distributed and questions of interest to the pupils were clarified.
