Creation of uniform standards (PEDS+, PEDS) and standards for early detection by doctors (PEDS+, İDİR) UPDATED: 23 DECEMBER 2019

Creation of uniform standards (PEDS+, PEDS) and standards for early detection by doctors (PEDS+, IS) in order to early identify lags in cognitive, communication and self-care skills, motor and mental development by parents.

In order to ensure the implementation of the "National Action Plan for 2018-2020 on Early Prevention and Treatment of Childhood Disabilities" approved by Decree No. 64 dated 10.05.2018 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan the implementation of paragraph 5.1.4 (Establishment of national methodology and standards, taking into account the determination of FA (fetal echocardiography and USM, audiometry, physical rehabilitation) technical equipment to be used for detection based on the new international methodology for early detection, prevention and early intervention) of the Action Plan approved by order No. 86 of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 29.11.2018 was assigned to the Public Health and Reforms Center.

In this purpose, based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization and other international organizations, the “Standards for early detection by parents of a lag in cognitive, communication and self-care skills, motor and mental development (PEDS +, PEDS)” and “Standards for early detection by physicians of a lag in the development of cognitive, communication and self-care skills, motor and mental development (PEDS +, İDİR)”. The final version of the documents was submitted to the Scientific and Medical Council of the Ministry of Health.

“Standards for early detection by parents of a lag in cognitive, communication and self-care skills, motor and mental development (PEDS +, PEDS)” was approved by decision No. 30 of the Scientific-Medical Council on December 25, 2019.

“Standards for early detection by physicians of a lag in the development of cognitive, communication and self-care skills, motor and mental development (PEDS +, İDİR)” was submitted for feedback.
