In Sheki, a training was organized on reproductive health issues for victims in the event of an emergency
On October 5, 2016 in Sheki, a training was held on the topic "Organization of a Minimum Package of Services for the Protection of Reproductive Health of Victims in the Event of Emergencies." Taking into account the need to hold in the regions training on reproductive health of victims at the time of emergencies, this event will serve to improve cooperation in the field of the Ministry of Health and other government agencies (the Ministry for Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, local executive authorities). It should be noted that the training was organized by the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan with the technical support of the United Nations Population Fund. Sabina Babazade, head of the project coordination department and Teymur Huseynov, a doctor-methodologist of the Public Health and Reforms Center, were delegated from the Public Health and Reform Center of the Ministry of Health to participate in this training in Sheki. The event was attended by chief physicians, deputy chief doctors for medical work, heads of maternity wards of Oguz, Gakh, Zagatala and Balakan district central hospitals, as well as representatives of relevant structures of the Ministry for Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Speaking at the event, the representatives of the PHRC explained the purpose of the training and informed the participants about the Minimum Package of Services for the Protection of Reproductive Health of Victims in case of emergency.
