An educational event was held in SOS Children's villages by PHRC and the Knowledge Foundation

On September 5, 2016, the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of Ministry of Health and the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized an educational event. The event was conducted in Youth House for girls of Azerbaijan Association of SOS Children's Village which is located Nizami district. Also this is the first event the Cooperation Agreement signed on 22 June 2016 as part of the Action Plan will be implemented by the end of 2016 between Knowledge Fund and PHRC.

The PHRC doctor- methodologist Nargiz Karimova informed the young girls about healthy lifestyle, factors that adversely affect the reproductive health and ways to avoid harmful habits.  In addition, speeches were made about sexual behavior and sexual relationships for protection from HIV and sexually transmitted other infections.

Note that, the educational program is held in order to raise awareness on reproductive health in accordance with the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan Republic Activity Plan of the “State Program on improving mother and child health for 2014-2020” and the point 1 of the paragraph 7 of the Action Plan.
