PHRC employees was attended a meeting organized by WHO in Bishkek
On August 23-25, 2016 an international meeting was held by the World Health Organization (WHO) on “School health and prevention of Non-communicable diseases (NCDs)” in Bishkek the capital of Kyrgyzstan. In the meeting Azerbaijan represented by Sabina Babazade and Tofig Musayev, the heads of the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health departments.
Meeting took three days. Participants got useful information is presented based on international experience and evidence about the fight against the health and health promotion in schools around NCDs. The participants spoke about the measures taken in their country and shared their experiences connection with the subject.
At the same time were discussed ways to overcome the difficulties that arise, creating the conditions needed in all schools and implementation of the measures necessary in order to prevent NCD and its risk factors. PHRC representatives gave information the participants about carried out in the Azerbaijan Republic in order to promote health in schools "Healthy Education - Healthy Nation" project and the positive results obtained in the framework of the project.
At the end of the event announced plans for the future by WHO on school health was welcomed by the participants.
