PHRC specialists took part in “Say No To Smoking” event

On May 26, 2016, in Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) a ”Say NO to smoking"  event dedicated to May 31, World No Tobacco Day was held. 

Dr Shahla Mirzazade from the MOH Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) informed the participants on a history of this Day and diseases caused by tobacco smoking.

The event carried out in accordance with the “Strategy to Combat Non-communicable Diseases in Azerbaijan in 2015-2020” was  aiming to advocate healthy lifestyles among population, to raise awareness on risks associated with tobacco use and prevention of tobacco related diseases.
