Briefing for journalists on the introduction of new live birth criteria in Azerbaijan held at PHCR (PHOTO)

As of January 1, 2015 Azerbaijan started applying the new live birth criteria.

Along with the health institutions joint efforts of other sectors, escpecially mass media, are important in successful application of the new live birth criteria in the country. For this purpose on January 27, 2016 a briefing for media representatives was held at the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Azerbaijan (PHRC). The briefing aimed to provide journalists with the general information on the relevant issue by experts from the Ministry of Health, the Scientific-Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and PHRC.
