Public Health and Reforms Center translated into Azerbaijani WHO’s “5 Keys to Safer Food” video (VIDEO)
Annually the World Health Organization (WHO) marks April 7 as the World Health Day. This day is viewed as an opportunity to draw public attention to health-related issues of global importance. This year’s theme highlights safe food and foodstuff.
According to WHO, thousands of people die from foodborne diseases most cases of which could be prevented. Following food safety guidelines is a key principle to prevent foodborne diseases. Food can be contaminated by dangerous microorganisms at any stage of cooking. However, most of foodborne diseases may be prevented by following simple food hygiene steps. WHO takes active measures to adapt global health strategies to local conditions and actively implements health interventions.
A “5 Keys to Safer Food” video produced by WHO for the World Health Day has been recently translated into Azerbaijani language by the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health.
