Trainings on "Children’s environmental health" held
Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health with the support of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) have organized trainings for medical workers on "Children’s environmental health". The main goal of the trainings was to develop the knowledge and skills of health workers, including increasing awareness on climate change and environmental pollution.
The training provided extensive information about global climate change, the impact of environmental factors, ambient air pollution and household air pollution on children and pregnant women.
A total of 124 health workers, including gynecologists, pediatricians, midwives and nurses participated in the trainings.
Participants successfully completed trainings were awarded certificates.
Note that, it is considered to implement various measures to increase the awareness on children's environmental health among health workers and the population, to give useful recommendations, to print and distribute educational booklets with the joint cooperation of PHRC and United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF).
