PHRC representatives attend the international conference on "Obstetrics and Gynecology, Reproductive Health and Women's Health"

On June 4, 2024, the II Baku International Conference on "Obstetrics and Gynecology, Reproductive Health and Women's Health" was held in Baku. The event was organized by the joint organization of the Scientific Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health, “Support to Development of Gynecology and Perinatology" Public Union and the technical support of Uptodate in Medicine.

Director of PHRC Gahraman Hagverdiyev made statements at the opening. He emphasized the role of modern innovative approaches in awareness-raising works on protecting reproductive health carried out by health workers and public health specialists and gave detailed information about the mobile applications such as "Burla Khatun" and "Video Doctor" developed for this purpose.

Head of the Medical quality standards department of PHRC Billura Yusifova made presentation on “Newborn genetic screening. Current situation and future prospects” and answered the questions of the participants.

At the conference, participants heard and discussed reports on the introduction of new treatment methods in modern gynecology, prevention of maternal deaths, management of medical interventions during childbirth and other relevant topics.
