Training on "Analysis of the burden of diseases" was held in Berlin
On July 4-7, 2022, a training course on "Analysis of the burden of diseases" was held in Berlin, Germany, within the framework of the international BOCO-19 research project. Nabil Seyidov, head of department of the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health, and Shahin Khasiyev, head of the Information and Statistics Department of the Ministry of Health, participated in the training. Presentations and analyzes were made by the delegation at the training dedicated to the analysis of the burden of COVID-19 and cardiovascular diseases.
It should be noted that the BOCO-19 project is being implemented under the leadership of the Robert Koch Institute of Germany with the participation of state institutions and higher education institutions working in the field of public health and health statistics of the Germany, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Montenegro, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The main goal of the project, implemented with the support of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Robert Koch Institute, is to expand the knowledge and skills of specialists in the field of public health and health statistics, and to strengthen cooperation and networking between countries. PHRC has been participating in this project as an official partner since 2021. Thus, 2 representatives of PHRC have participated in trainings held in Serbia, 4 representatives in Tbilisi and 1 representative in Berlin.
Within the framework of the project, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Robert Koch Institute and PHRC. On the basis of this agreement, it was possible for the representatives from PHRC to participate in the training process at the base of that institute, for the specialists of the institute to work together with PHRC, and to jointly prepare relevant proposals and recommendations.
