Training for medical professionals work with children subjected to physical or mental abuse kicks off
Trainings on preventive and rehabilitation measures aimed to raise children in a safe, non-violent, respectful environment got underway at Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health from April 30 to May 2, 2019.
Physicians, school psychologists and media representatives working in the field of primary health care took part at the trainings jointly organized by PHRC and “Ümidli Gələcək” Public Union.
Opening an event with introductory speech the head of the Projects' coordination department of PHRC Sabina Babazade noted that, it is important to improve the knowledge and skills of medical professionals to provide the necessary medical and psychological assistance to children subjected to physical or mental abuse at school, home, yard and etc.
The training was followed by presentations and speeches of executive director of “Ümidli Gələcək” Public Union Kamala Ashumova, head of Health communication department of PHRC Laura Guliyeva, head of Health policy and reforms department of PHRC Shahla Mirzazade, head of Medical quality standards department of PHRC Shahla Ismayilova, clinical psychologist of Children and Youth Social Rehabilitation Center Gulshan Akhundova, head of Polyclinic department of Scientific Research Institute of Maternity and Gynaecology Gulnara Rzayeva.
