PHRC hosts meeting with WHO representatives

On April 30, 2019, was held meeting with PR officers of the World Health Organization (WHO) at the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Representatives of WHO - Sampreethi Aipanjiguly, Vinca Eppendahl, Bahtygul Karriyeva, Fanara Bunyadzade, as well as management, staff of PHRC attended the meeting.

The purpose of the visit of the delegates to Baku is to work on communication strategy, to prepare photo-video report, as well as an annual communication plan and brochure on two topics which are priorities for the country office.

It is also considered to be held meetings and consultations with a number of partners within the frame of the mission.

Referring to the measures taken by the government in our country, director of PHRC Gahraman Hagverdiev noted that, a wide range of preventive and informational activity is carried out for the purpose of preventing diseases and harmful habits, also propagating physical activity.

He provided information on the new communication plan of PHRC and said that, it is intended to use more effective, creative ways to promote healthy lifestyle, to increase public awareness via social networks and to develop mobile and web applications.

The guests thanked for the warm welcome and organization of the meeting and stressed that, they were greatly impressed by the large-scale activity of PHRC.
