Event on “Say “No!” to drugs and other harmful habits” held in Baku Choreography Academy
On October 29, 2018 Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Nasimi District Executive Power and Nasimi District Police Office have jointly organized an educational event at full secondary school of Baku Choreography Academy.
Deputy chief of Nasimi District Police Office, policeman, lieutenant - colonel Vusal Rustamov opened the event and urged pupils to stay away from harmful habits.
Head of the department of Nasimi District Police Office for work with juveniles, policeman, major Firdovsi Asadli noted that, the fight against consequences of drug addiction is particularly relevant today and that important measures are being taken in this direction.
Methodist Physician of PHRC Latafat Dadashova made a presentation on “Say “No!” to drugs and other harmful habits”. She discussed harmful habits and their negative impact on human's' health and warned about serious consequences (physical vs. mental addictions) might be arisen in the future.
At the end of the event, educational materials prepared by PHRC were distributed and questions of the students were answered.
Note that, this educational meeting was organized for the purpose of implementation of the State Program on “Azerbaijan youth in 2017-2021” and “Azerbaijan national strategy for the prevention of non-communicable diseases 2015-2020”.
