An online presentation on "Obesity and overweight among young people" took place

Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC) in collaboration with the "Knowledge" Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan conducted their first joint event of the year 2017 on January 31, 2017 at the "E-Government" Training and Education Center of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan where a teleconference on "Obesity and overweight among young people" was held. The conference was attended by schoolchildren from the schools of Gusar, Gazakh, Gekçay, Shirvan, Shamakhi, Sheki, and their teachers and parents. Teleconference chaired by Deputy Head of the Department of Health Policy and Reform PHRC Nabil Seyidov, the manager of department of medical quality standards PHRC Narmin Aliyeva and representative of "Knowledge" Foundation Khatira Huseynova.

Teleconference was intended to improve the knowledge of the young people about healthy eating and share information about the harmful effects of obesity and overweight.

Employees of PHRC Nabil Seyidov and Narmin Aliyeva gave educational presentations to an audience. In the end, issues of interest to participants were discussed.
