A PHRC representative took part in awareness raising campaign organized for students

The Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC) organized a health promotion event at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) .

The event was aimed at prevention of spread of drug and alcohol use, tobacco smoking and other negative addictions among the youth, as well as at strengthening a responsibility of youngsters for their own health. PHRC expert Shahla Mirzazade gave a presentation on relevant topics at the meeting held on October 19, 2016. During the event the PHRC specialist thoroughly informed the participating adolescents about harmful habits and the importance of healthy lifestyle and how to acquire healthy life style habits in daily life etc. The speaker also shared tips and recommendations for people who are prone to various diseases and answered the questions from participants. At the end of the event educational materials produced by PHRC were distributed to the participants of the event.

The event was held in accordance with the Ministry of Health's Activity Plan on implementation of “Strategy on combating non-infectious diseases in Azerbaijan for 2015-2020”.
