PHRC representatives participated in the charity event dedicated to June 14 - World Blood Donor Day

In many countries this slogan is shared as a "unity" and "touch" concept to demonstrate respect and honor to voluntary blood donors and thus emphasize educational activities in this area.

As every year in 2016 Azerbaijan celebrated 14 June with special attention.

On the occasion of “14 June - World Blood Donor Day" there was held a charity concert co-organized together by Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC), "LAYF" Social Union and Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society. The event was organized for blood donors, but also to those who is in need of continuous blood donations.

In her speech, a Head of Project Coordination Department of PHRC Sabina Babazade brought  participants' attention to the importance of have safe blood reserves as an integral part of national policy in the health sector and talked about the need for more safe blood donors, noting the PHRC work on the development of blood donation.

At the end of this charitable event participants were provided with the educational and information materials developed by the PHRC.
