Health care workers' role in detecting violence against children and delivering of emergency medical and psychological assistance strengthened
Since 2015 the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) in cooperation with "Reliable Future" Youth Organization has been implementing a “Detection of violence against children, capacity building and strengthening the role of health care workers in emergency medical and psychological assistance delivery" project.
The main objective of the project is early detection of violence against children, including domestic, sexual, physical and psychological violence and prevention of the secondary and neglected cases and to strengthen emergency medical and psychological assistance capacity of medical institutions in delivering the assistance.
Successfully implemented since 2015 the project activities continued in April and May, 2016 - when in Baku and Ganja cities was organized a one day training for health workers delivering aid to victims of domestic violence.
The trainings were organized and carried out in direct support and guidance of PHRC experts. In addition to the trainings, discussions with medical personnel of city policlinics delivering the services have been organized, relevant recommendations have been developed and suggested.
