PHRC representatives participated in the international seminar on gender-based violence

Seminar on "Effective response to gender-based violence by a multi-sectoral group of Eastern European and Central Asian region" organized by   the East European Institute for Reproductive Health (EEIRH) of the United Nations Population Fund's Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (UNFPA EECARO) took place on march 3-4, 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey. The main purpose of the seminar  was to contribute to the strengthening of regional cooperation in the fight against gender-based violence. At this  seminar Azerbaijan was represented by the representatives from  the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, State Committee of Family, Women and Children Affairs, as well as the Public Health and Reforms Centre (PHRC) of  the Ministry of Health.

Head of the Project Coordination department of  PHRC Dr.Sabina Babazade presented the results of the survey conducted in Azerbaijani regions on the  gender-based violence. During her speech she  also noted that PHRC in cooperation with the international organizations has implemented a number of projects in this field
