Electronic registry of pregnant women is to be introduced in Azerbaijan (PHOTO)
As part of the Gavi “Health System Strengthening in Azerbaijan” project a system of electronic registry of pregnant women has been developed and now to be implemented. On 30 June 2015, a seminar “Use of electronic registry of pregnant women in monitoring, assessment and decision-making” was held at the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC). The Director of the WHO Country Office in Azerbaijan Dr. Kamran Garakhanov, as well as head physicians of maternity hospitals and heads of women health clinics in the city of Baku participated in the seminar.
An expert from the National Center for Healthcare Development of the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan shared national practices in the development and implementation of the electronic registry system for pregnant women and women of reproductive age. Also, the expert reported about maternal and child health care services management, application of electronic registry system for pregnant women and women of reproductive age, and registry-based monitoring, evaluation and decision-making management in the case of Kazakhstan.
