PHRC is launching a ‘Make Everyday No Tobacco Day’ campaign
Beginning May 31, 2015the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) starts its ‘Make Everyday No Tobacco Day’ anti-tobacco social media campaign. The campaign will last for one year.
To join the campaign all you need to do is to download the “Be Tobacco Free” poster or make one by your own with this slogan, take a picture of yourself holding the poster and share it by sending a message to the PHRC Facebook page. All the received photos will be displayed then on our Facebook page. Also, the campaign supporters can share campaign pictures in social media using #mensiqaretcekmirem hashtag.
Since 1988, when WHO declared 31 May as a World No Tobacco Day, this date is celebrated every year. This celebration provides opportunities to once again raise public awareness about risks and dangers of tobacco use, fight against tobacco epidemic, as well as calls international community for action to protect future generations.
Annually around 6 million people die from diseases due to tobacco use. In the 20th century tobacco epidemic claimed the lives of 100 million people worldwide.
Every day should be a day of fighting against tobacco. PHRC calls everyone to consolidate in fighting against tobacco and join ‘Make Everyday No Tobacco Day’ campaign.
