A Final Report of the Survey on the context and causes of domestic violence against women in Azerbaijan presented at round table event

In November 2014, the Public Health and Reforms Center of Ministry of Health (PHRC) in cooperation with the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs conducted a survey among women visiting healthcare centers in the cities of Lankaran, Fuzuli and Beylagan. The purpose of the survey was to map the causes and context of domestic violence against women, to evaluate women’s position in the family, their access to healthcare services, and to assess what women do in case of domestic violence and what they know about how to be protected against violence.

On January 28, 2015 a round table was held at PHRC where a final report of the survey on the context and causes of domestic violence against women in Azerbaijan was presented. Representatives of the Ministry of Health, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Office of the Ombudsman and PHRC participated at that event.
