WHO holds Risk Communication, Community Engagement and Infodemic Management (RCCE-IM) workshop in Azerbaijan
On June 27-28, 2024, the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Azerbaijan and the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health jointly have organized a workshop on “Risk Communication, Community Engagement and Infodemic Management (RCCE-IM)”.
The training, organized within the frame of the year of solidarity for a green world, was carried out by the Risk communication and community engagement unit of the WHO/Europe's Health Emergencies Programme.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the potential of Azerbaijan's health authorities, their government partners, international organizations and NGOs in risk communication and work with communities, as well as to respond to health emergencies.
During the two-day training, experiences were gained on developing plans for risk communication and community engagement, building relationships and strengthening cooperation among the healthcare sector and other relevant government agencies, non-governmental organizations and community members.
Note that, the workshop brought together people responsible for risk communication and work with communities from local government and health institutions, international organizations, NGOs and UN agencies.
Finally, certificates were presented to the training participants.
