Winners of the writing competition organized by Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health were announced

An event dedicated to the results of the writing competition was held by the joint cooperation of the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health and "Ulduz" magazine of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers.

The editor-in-chief of "Ulduz" magazine Gulu Agsas opened the event organized on March 13, 2024 at Natavan club of AYB and highly appreciated the cooperation among health care institutions and creative organizations.

He said that, cases of domestic violence are dangerous for society and it is possible to solve this problem only with a purposeful approach and broad education.

Director of PHRC Gahraman Hagverdiyev made a speech and emphasized that the main goal of organizing the competition was to instil sense of tolerance, mutual understanding and respect, also peacefully resolving of family conflicts in the younger generation.

 Literary critic Seyfaddin Huseynli, Head of the Health Communication Department of PHRC Laura Guliyeva, writer-publicist, honored journalist Zemfira Maharramli said that coordinated activities of the relevant institutions against domestic and gender-based violence should be widely promoted.

Then, all the finalists of the writing competition organized on the theme "Let's say no to domestic violence!" were declared winners and they awarded with diplomas and souvenirs.

According to the organizers, it is planned to continue such competitions in the future and to publish the selected stories as a separate book.

Note that, the competition was held with the informational support of “525-ci qəzet” (525th newspaper).
