Book titled “National leader Heydar Aliyev and healthcare” presented
The book titled “National leader Heydar Aliyev and healthcare” was compiled and published by the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health. The book, published in connection with the 100th anniversary of the National leader is intended for a wide readership.
The book is based on the speeches of the national leader of our people Heydar Aliyev at various events and meetings, as well as letters written by him during his tenure as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1993-2003.
The book was published for the purpose of encouraging and promoting the multifaceted activities of the great leader, including his outstanding achievements in protecting public health and developing healthcare in our country.
Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev, in the preface of the book remarked that, National leader paid special attention to the healthcare sector of our country, including medical science and the medical education system: “The great son of our people took significant initiatives for progress of every field in our country, but without a doubt, the main issue for him was the protection of the population's health, organization of medical services at a high level, and improvement of the demographic indicators of the Azerbaijani people”.
The book also notes that, according to the order signed by the national leader Heydar Aliyev on June 4, 2001, June 17 is celebrated in our country as the Professional Day of Medical Workers.
Readers may acquainted with the lines of the first congratulation letter addressed by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to medical workers: “I am confident that you, showing loyalty to your professional oath, will continue to work hard to protect the health of our population, and will not spare your knowledge and skills to adequately cope with this important task”.
Note that, the book contains the speeches of the National leader at the opening of medical and health institutions, his speeches during meetings with medical and healthcare workers, as well as his letters in this direction.
