PHRC organizes educational campaign on "Protect your heart!" in Bilasuvar

An educational campaign on "Protect your heart!" was held with joint organization of the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health and Bilasuvar District Executive Power.

As part of the campaign organized on October 25, 2023 in Bilasuvar city, participants were invited to preliminary examinations (measuring of height, weight, blood pressure and pulse) and were informed about the main risk factors of cardiovascular diseases.

It was noted that, increasing of number of people suffering from cardiovascular diseases in modern times is closely related to a number of factors.

The main risk factors for CVD include behaviours such as tobacco use, excessive amounts of sugar and cholesterol in blood, high blood pressure, an unhealthy diet, psychological stress, harmful use of alcohol and inadequate physical activity.

Participants were informed about proper and balanced nutrition and encouraged to choose a healthy lifestyle. Educational materials on the prevention of cardiovascular diseases prepared and published by PHRC were distributed to them.
