PHRC representative attends CAREC Disaster Risk Engagement Workshop in Pakistan

Islamabad, Pakistan has hosted a two-day workshop on “Development of a disaster risk transfer facility for the CAREC region” within the frame of Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program on 18-19 July, 2023.

The head of the department of Medical quality standards of the Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahla Ismayilova attended the worhshop.

The purpose of the seminar was to develop and discuss roadmap for the development of a disaster management system and to study countries’ experiences.

Two-day workshop also provided further capacity building on the use of the Disaster Risk Modeling Interface, regional infectious disease risk financial solutions and disaster relief measures.
