Campaign on "Protect yourself against hepatitis!" held

 On July 21, 2023, Public Health and Reforms Center (PHRC) of the Ministry of Health together with Yasamal District Executive Authority have organized campaign on the occasion of 28 July - World Hepatitis Day for the population at Huseyn Javid Park.

The purpose of the action attended by the public representatives and volunteers was informing population about hepatitis viruses. Participants were briefed about the viruses that cause the different forms of viral hepatitis, incidence rate and medical measures taken in these fields. It was noted that, the majority of these infections could be prevented through the once-only use of syringes, needles and other injection equipments and it is necessary to use pre-disinfected tools and personal hygiene products individually during tattooing and piercing.
