The Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health is pleased to announce the acceptance of applications for the "Competition of researchers in the field of public health".
In the last 10 years, PHRC has conducted more than 7 national and international researches in the field of healthcare. Among these, the Study of Risk Factors for Noncommunicable Disease (STEPS), the Childhood Obesity Study (COSI), the Health Behavior Analysis of School-Aged Children (HBSC) and the Health Care Worker Vaccine Efficacy Study (AzVE) are particularly noteworthy.
The main purpose of the announcement is to conduct scientific analyzes with PHRC specialists based on the data collected through the aforementioned and several other important studies and to prepare articles for publication in leading international journals.
Priority will be given to health workers under the age of 45, young researchers at the beginning of their research careers, and health workers who are currently studying or preparing to enter postgraduate or doctoral studies.
The competition for participation in the program will be held in three stages:
Stage 1. A written application form is required for participation. The application form can be sent by e-mail ([email protected] and [email protected]) or as a letter to the official address of PHRC (AZ1122, Baku city, H. Zardabi street, 96).
Stage 2. The authors of the selected applications are required to participate in the Training to be held in Baku in September 2022 with the participation of international and national experts.
Stage 3. Submission of ideas for scientific research and articles prepared within the framework of the training to the competition and selection of the 10 best authors by the Jury.
Additional training on statistical analysis of scientific research results and writing articles for international scientific journals will be held for the 10 selected authors. At the end of this training, research groups will be created and 10 projects will be launched together with mentors from leading European universities.

Deadline for applications for Phase 1: August 20, 2022. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
