Issues on improving of health care quality for patients with chronic kidney disease discussed

On August 3, 2018 a meeting on improving of health care quality and efficacy for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) was organized in Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC).

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Health and PHRC, including chiefs and specialists of Hemodialysis centers operating in Baku and Sumgait.

As part of the meeting, the current situation on implementation of “Plan of Actions” of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted according to the “Action Program on chronic kidney disease for 2016-2020” has been thoroughly analyzed.

Participants also disputed modern treatment technology and diagnostics methods of chronic kidney disease, as well as exchanged views on determination of specialized health care and quality standards of kidney diseases.
