PHRC hosts round table on “Autism Spectrum Disorder”

On June 29, 2018 Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC), “Women Leaders” Public Association, “Together and Healthy” Public Union have organized a round table on “Autism Spectrum Disorder” (ASD).

Deputies of Milli Majlis, representatives of government and non-governmental organizations, as well as experts invited from the USA Andy Shih, Marina Azimova and Canan Tanidir from Turkey participated in the event.

Opened the event with introductory speech deputy head of Organization of health care department of the Ministry of Health Nabil Seyidov spoke about autism situation in our country and measures implemented by government and non-governmental organizations in this direction.

Director of PHRC Gahraman Hagverdiev, deputy of Milli Majlis Malahat Ibrahimgizi, professor of AMU Ikram Rustamov, head of the Health department of the National NGO Forum Ziba Nabiyeva, head of the Projects' Coordination Department of PHRC Sabina Babazade, chairman of “Together and Healthy” Public Union Ayten Eynalova and other specialists gave detailed information on works carried out in the direction of rehabilitation of people with autism and noted the importance of these measures.

A highly fruitful exchange of views has been ensued at the end of the meeting which was held with participation of mass media.
