Students of the Art College were informed about reproductive health and the complications of early marriages

The next event, initiated by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the support of PHRC, was held on April 18, 2018 at the Art College under the Baku Choreography Academy.

Gynecologist Afet Mammadova, a physician-methodologist of the PHRC, made a presentation in front of the girls and provided them an extensive information about the reproductive health, strengthening the problem of early marriages and complications associated with that. A.Mammadova noted that the timely attention to the reproductive health of adolescence results in the reduction of maternal and child mortality, keeping safe births and the birth of healthy babies.

A short film shot by PHRC,  showing  the regrettable consequences of non-marital relations  was also presented to participants.

Finally, the exchange of views was made on the subject and the educational materials were distributed to students prepared by the PHRC on reproductive health and family planning.
