Conference on International Children's Day held

On May 31, 2023, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Scientific-Research Pediatrics Institute named after K. Farajov, Public Health and Reforms Center, Reliable Future  Social Initiatives Public Union with the technical support of “Uptodate in Medicine” have co-organized a conference dedicated to 1 June – International Children's Day. The conference considered for pediatricians involved 80 people.

Director of Scientific-Research Pediatrics Institute named after K. Farajov Latif Zeyniyev, representative of the Ministry of Health Aynura Zeynalova welcomed everybody and wished fruitful discussion to the conference participants on this important issue.

Director of PHRC Gahraman Hagverdiyev emphasized in his speech that, the healthy growth of children, proper upbringing, development in a favorable environment, sensitive and caring treatment regulate their entire lives: “The main goal of public health specialists of our center is to widely inform the population and support works carried out in this direction in our country”.

Head of the department of PHRC Shahla Ismayilova and employee Konul Ismayilova spoke on “Evidence-based practices on child protection” and “Mental health problems of children and adolescents” topics at the conference attended by the representatives of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Azerbaijan office of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Office of the Commissioner for human rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan.

The conference was a great platform for a productive exchange of ideas and discussions on protecting of the rights, spiritual, moral and social development of children.

Note that, the conference was accredited on the basis of the "Accreditation Rules of Scientific and Educational Events for Continuing Medical Education" of the Ministry of Health. Finally, participants were awarded certificates.
